The Vanguard division of TVW is an alternative to employment day program for adults with developmental and physical disabilities. Services are currently provided to over 40 adults and include support to participate in paid work, community outings, personal care, engaging in individual and group activities, and support to accomplish individual goals and interests.
Some of the activities offered at Vanguard are participating in arts/ crafts, games, movies, and socializing with peers. Paid work opportunities that are available include light janitorial duties, preparing documents to be shredded, and shredding of documentation. Vanguard has a Community Inclusion Specialist that is dedicated to taking our clients out into the community to participate in outings that include going to the library, shopping at local stores, bowling, dining out, going to the park, fishing, and various other activites catered to each individuals choice.
People with disabilities that enjoy exploring and developing new hobbies and friendships will find Vanguard to be a satisfying and enjoyable environment.
