The Access division of TVW is an Alternative To Employment center that serves as a place for adults with DD who are in a retirement mode or who are unable to work. Access provides a recreational environment. Activities are customized to meet participant’s wants and needs. 

These activities fall into to categories: community and in- house.

Community outings are an opportunity for the clients to visit places of interest to them in the area and meet and interact with new people through this experience. Some of the popular destinations are goodwill, and the dollar tree for shopping. Other places are the library and the bowling alley. Many of our clients also enjoy going for walks in the neighborhood. 

In house activities are away of expressing creativity and gives the clients a chance to build interpersonal skills. Some of the activities we offer at ACCESS are; arts and crafts, dancing, watching movies, playing games, puzzles and light janitorial work and shredding of documents.
